The Babylab team of Grenoble (LPNC) has the great pleasure to invite you to attend to the “Language and Face development in typical and atypical populations” workshop, on Friday the 12th of January 2024 (on the Grenoble campus and zoom). This workshop features five internationally-renowned researchers, who will present their work on topics related to infant development of language, face perception and multisensory development (see program below).

  • 9h. Keynote presentation by David Lewkowicz, Yale University: The Developmental Challenge of the Multisensory Cocktail Party Problem 

  • 10h. Oral presentation by Sharon Peperkamp, Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris Sciences Lettres University: Phonetic and phonological factors in infants' consonant perception 

  • 10h30. Coffee break

  • 11h. Oral presentation by Laura Bosch, Barcelona University: Vocabulary measures and fast mapping skills in children after cochlear  implantation 

  • 11h30. Oral presentation by Ferran Pons, Barcelona University: Can bilingual exposure enhance other-race face recognition in infants? 

  • 12h. Oral presentation by Jean-Yves Baudouin, Lyon 2 University: The smell of faces
