What happens in a meeting

Welcome

Welcome to our premises on the Saint-Martin-d'Hères university campus. We have a pleasant and safe environment for you and your child. Upon your arrival, we'll greet you in our reception room and we'll begin by explaining how the appointment will work.

Form and consent

Then we'll ask you a few questions about your child, and you'll be asked to sign a consent form if you wish to take part in our studies. This document reminds you that all data is anonymous and intended exclusively for research purposes.

How does a study work?

An appointment lasts for about half an hour, during which we propose several short studies adapted to your child's age. The cumulative duration of the studies proposed is approximately 15 minutes. We set one-hour slots to make sure you and your child are comfortable, account for their needs (hunger, thirst, nappy change, a little break, etc.) and answer any questions you may have. We normally offer a number of studies but we don't need your child to take part in all of them, for example if they don't feel like it or aren't feeling well. The length of an appointment may therefore vary.

For all studies, your child will be with you at all times. The methods section contains more information about the types of studies currently in progress.

De-briefing

After each study or when you return to the reception room, we'll take some time to explain the aims of the studies your child took part in. You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

We would like to thank you warmly for your interest !

Your involvement in research is essential for advancing our knowledge of infant development.
