I study the (meta)cognitive and social mechanisms that support communication and transmission in humans. I try to understand how, to what extent and under which conditions children can shape their own learning. I am also interested in how communication shapes conscious perception and metacognition (& the other way around), and in the parallels and differences between vocal, musical and linguistic communication.
