Research interests
My research topic aims at understanding how are emotional and perceptual events related to facial expressions integrated in the oculomotor system. In fact, saccade programming is thought to occur in a priority map in which both bottom-up and top-down information is integrated. Studies showed that emotional events influence attention, but how and when they are integrated in the priority map is still not fully understood. My works combines multiple frameworks such as Psychology, Computational Neurosciences and Cognitive Neurosciences with the use of both behavioral experiments (eye-tracking), neuroimaging (fMRI) and artificial neural networks.
Keywords : Emotional facial expressions, Saccade programming, Eye-tracking, EEG, Artificial Neural Networks.
