PhD thesis : Metacognition in Multiple Sclerosis

PhD supervision : Christopher Moulin (LPNC) & Céline Souchay (LPNC)

This thesis focuses on the exploration of metacognitive processes in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), the objective being to identify the knowledge that patients of their cognitive and motor difficulties. The novelty of this thesis will be to use a neuropsychological and an experimental approach using the latest methods in metacognition research, rather than focus on questionnaire studies. Although some research has already evaluated awareness in these patients, it has not explored metacognition experimentally in connection with theoretical models. This work will not only allow a better definition of metacognitive processes in MS but should also inform the theoretical models of metacognition.
