The Laboratory of Psychology and NeuroCognition (LPNC) is a Cognitive Science Research Unit affiliated to the CNRS (National Institute of Biological Sciences, section 26) and to two universities (University Grenoble-Alpes, Grenoble and University of Savoie Mont Blanc, Chambery).

We take an interdisciplinary approach which encompasses experimental psychology ; computational and mathematical modeling ; neuropsychology ; cognitive psychiatry ; and neuroimaging. Research activity in the LPNC is focused on the study of human cognition in perception, action, space, memory and language. Our research involves experiments with infants, children, adults, and older adults, in healthy as well as pathological populations.

Our lab has strong collaborations with Psychiatry and Neurology in Grenoble University Hospital. This close link between research and medical structures is crucial in optimizing conceptual frameworks and therapeutic tools.

Amongst these approaches, we place a heavy emphasis on the development of neuroimaging and biologically inspired models, for which we are known nationally and internationally. This multidisciplinary approach enables us to make great advances in theory and in the application of our work alike.
